The first Timerians were a group of students from Mazarrón (Spain), whose interests included rescuing the classical culture of Greece and Rome as well as the ancestral traditions of the area. The territory that currently corresponds to the province of Serralia is the oldest in the nation and was incorporated into the Kingdom of Timeria on the day of its foundation on 22 May 2002.
The Kingdom of Timeria reached its peak in 2004 with the publication of the first original literary works.
On 1 November 2004, the Senatorial Republic of Timeria was proclaimed.
In 2005, the nation’s first sports teams were created, the Club Deportivo Timerio Hermenepolis (CDT Hermenepolis), the Megakyría Sociedad Deportiva (Megakyría SD) and Real Caesaraugusta, which later changed its name to Augusta Sociedad Deportiva (Augusta SD).
A group of people in 2006 created the Rock Empire with a citizen who was expelled from Timeria, named Rummel. They dedicated themselves to provoke damages like sabotage of water tanks or throwing stones against citizens while they celebrated activities in the Timerian territories.
The great opening of Timeria to the outside world took place with the so-called “Digital Generation”, composed of those citizens who participated in the nation without residing in the original territories. During 2007 to 2008 the external relations were deepened and the “Jasbleidy Declaration” was created, a reference document for the development of Timeria until many years later. However, the discontent of the original Timerian citizens added to the bursting of the real estate bubble in Spain caused the fall of Timeria, being dissolved the First Republic on 2 September 2008.
Officially, Timeria ceased all activity from 1 October 2008 until April 2013. All activity in that period on behalf of Timeria is not recognized, as there were numerous individuals who tried to appropriate the name and national institutions.
On 15 April 2013, Senate elections were held and national activity returned to normal. As of May 2013, the National Library, the National Museum and the Academy of Timeria were established as official public institutions for research and custody of the national cultural heritage.
On 23 August 2015, the Senatorial Republic of Timeria was integrated into the Kingdom of Orphalia. This annexation generated a deep division among the Timerians between those who were in favour of continuing to grow even at the cost of Timeria losing its independence and those who valued that traditions and the homeland were being betrayed. On 5 December 2015, in a referendum, the Timerios decided unanimously to leave Orfalia, and the nation regained its full independence.
On 1 January 2016 the Calendar of Timeria came into force. This calendar promoted the official festivities of the Hellenistic and Roman polytheism to the detriment of the Orthodox Christian minority.
On 12 February 2016, the Emperor of Orphalia, Aggelos the First, with the support of the former King Hermenegild of Legouvé, presented an initiative to restore the monarchy in Timeria. The initiative received marginal support in a referendum and was subsequently unanimously rejected by the Senate on 13 March. As a result, the former nobles of Timeria left the nation, thus affecting donations.
On 6 February 2016, on the initiative of Gaius Sergius Primus, a territorial reform initiative was presented. The initiative received wide support from citizens’ signatures and was unanimously approved by the Senate on 13th March. Thus the provinces of Serralia, Bratia and Moriel were born and officially recognized.
On 18 June 2016, Ilthio Greek Vahal, founder and former president of Timeria, died.
On 22 October 2016, the Tempus Ludi meeting was held at the Bruixes i Fades premises in Valencia (Spain), where the Timeria culture was disseminated through Greco-Latin board games (Petteia, ludus lantruculorum, merellis, tesserae, duodecim scripta). The event was the first previous organization that culminated in the creation of the Province of Bratia in January of 2017.
In the summer of 2018 Timeria disintegrated again, after failing to overcome the internal division between those who were in favour of transforming the country into a cultural association and those who were in favour of maintaining the model of national construction.
After several months of negotiations, the Senatorial Republic of Timeria was restored on 10 November 2019.
